“Jack & Diane” by John Cougar was the #1 song for the first four weeks of the month.  Then, “Who Can It Be Now?”/Men At Work reined for the final week.  Now, you know two songs in this mashup but there’s much many to hear to get a complete feel.

The featured song in this medley is the novelty hit by Frank & Moon Unit Zappa “Valley Girl”.  You will learn about valley speak and hear Willie Nelson right before Mr. Bu-Fu.  After much debate, Jack decides to be a football star.  What a mashup!!

This is the funniest and most entertaining month of ’82 to produce.

“Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor was the #1 song of the entire month.  It’s  one of the many songs featured in this montage medley.

Ready to start the second half of the year!  These monthly medley motages are getting slightly longer but always under 10 minutes so never a “too long of listen” of memories.  Reminder that all of these were in Top 40 most popular songs during the month of July 1982.

You will hear ANIMAL sounds(Roster roars and monkeys), another song in ’82 that mentions Chicago and even the group Chicago and writing letters while being out of work.

The rules of this Music Medley is that all the songs must have been played on American Top 40 during February 1982 with a time limit of 10 minutes.  You will hear samples of “Hooked On Classics” to “Pac-Man Fever” to “Harden My Heart” and everything else covered in less than six minutes.

We will say this, “Making this montage medley crashed the HP desktop.”  Find out why by listening.  Too many songs and edits?  Just many songs had “hold” or “fire” during this month?

You hear something different everyone you listen and have no idea what direction the songs you take while trying to somehow match lyrics and thoughts from song to song while all of these hits were in Top 40 songs of the week in June.  The other part is you can’t leave out any song even one that you don’t like or care to hear.  The time consuming part is trimming the songs without using a mixer.

The amazing look back on this year continues with the merry month of May.  DJ Ryan originally produced his first song medley in 1982 and parts of the that first medley are heard in the this one.  “And now you find yourself in ’82 but I don’t know where to start.”

When that first medley was shared, that first listener had a big laugh at the mark 3:38.  The song story of May 1982 runs less than eight minutes.  Thanks for listening!!!

We have made it month four of 12 in 1982.  What were the most popular song in the Top 40?  Listen and try to guess the name of these songs.  Some are easy while others nearly impossible to know.  It starts with two medleys “Pop Goes The Movies” & “Beatles Movie Medley” and third medley “Stars on 45 III – A Tribute to Stevie Wonder”  medleys inside of a medley.

There’s also drum solo in the mix and more cover in under seven minutes.
